Barley, orphan and heir to the throne of the Mole kingdom, discovers who he is and that he has an ability to travel to any place he can picture in his mind. He learns about “the Hold”, an extensive underground home to hundreds of his relatives, and how it has occasionally been overwhelmed by an Enemy. He commits to return to his family home and deal with the enemy that has crushed his people for centuries.
